Welcome to the creamer fund
We are a local charity to Finchingfield and surrounding parishes dedicated to enhancing well-being and improving access to medical care through provision of facilities, equipment and support services.
Working in close partnership with Freshwell Health Centre since the Fund was founded almost 30 years ago, we are able use the funds with maximum benefit of the patients of Freshwell and the local community. A gratifying testament to CREAMER’s positive contribution is recognised by Freshwell’s status of 10th best surgery in England for patient experience.
CREAMER is just as proud of its links with the community, notably provision of over 20 village defibrillators which has directly saved lives, and contribution towards Finchingfield’s outdoor gym equipment.

CREAMER was founded in 1993 by donations made in the memory of three patients of Finchingfield’s GP surgery: Freshwell Health Centre.
The fund has become a vital source of support for the community, most notably through its collaboration with Freshwell. This close relationship enables CREAMER to stay close to the heart of its mission to provide access to essential medical equipment, professional services and resources. In most cases these would not otherwise be available due to reduced or discontinued funds from the NHS and local authorities.

The Fund's Trustees are as passionate today as they were three decades ago. We are fortunate to have founding members in Andrew (Chair), Chris (Vice Chair) and Rosalie, whose husband was an original benefactor. Their experience and dedication lead the team of Trustees with terrific results, and we look forward to the future with confidence.

Funding activities
We currently provide over £50k per year to fund equipment, professional services and resources at Freshwell and in the community. Some specific items are listed below.
X-ray and DEXA scan facilities
CREAMER funds these facilities from initial equipment purchase to ongoing maintenance and associated professional staff at a cost of £17k pa.
Freshwell is the only surgery in Essex to offer this service

We continue to rely solely on support from the community through donations, seasonal raffles, and the sale of books / puzzles (the latter two available from Freshwell).
